HERITAGE WEEK IRELAND 2012

JULY/AUGUST are Heritage months internationally... varying from place to place. How will it affect you?

 *   It is a great time to visit your local library, or archives of family history societies. Feel free to let me know what is happening in your area, or what you have attended or are planning to. We love to share...

*   You will also find that there are some great discounts available for various subscription sites... don't dismiss them if perhaps your sub isn't due... contact them and let them know that you would like to renew as of your normal date, but would appreciate the discount offered to the newcomers... Of course, this won't work if you have just signed up with a great discount, but if you are a loyal subscriber, they may offer you the same to keep you. After all, in this economic climate, we all need to save that extra dollar ...

From County Clare....

This week is National Heritage Week and there is a fantastic programme on all over the country in a range of categories from archaeology to coastal and marine to historic buildings to local history and wildlife. Check out www.heritageweek.ie for more information on what's on near you.
