CLARE ROOTS SOCIETY September Meeting 2012

Clare Roots Society
September Meeting

The first event of the new season by Clare Roots Society will be held in the Civic Room, Drumbiggle on Thursday 20 September 2012 at 8 pm.  It will be run on a Questions & Answers basis.
Have you hit the famous brick wall in your family history research?
Do you know where to seek further information?
Clare Roots are inviting you to submit your problems and queries to secretary@clareroots.org in the next few days.
These will be examined by a panel of experienced genealogists. Answers and advice will be given at the meeting.
Questions will also be taken by the panel from the floor on the night but a little prior notice will help to formulate more comprehensive answers.

At the recent Genealogy for Beginners talks given in the Clare Library branches all over Clare by Clare Roots members during Heritage Week, the need for help and advice in research was identified and it is hoped that the meeting on 20 September will go some way in providing that help.

All are welcome. There is a cover-charge of €5 to the meeting for non-members.

We also welcome submissions for various subjects members may be interested in a future talk on and also if any of our members would like to present their own family history on another night. We have heard some great family histories in the past.
