FAMILIES WHO LEFT CLARE DURING THE FAMINE

Kilrush is hosting the NATIONAL FAMINE COMMEMORATION ON MAY 12TH this year.  There will be a full programme of events starting on the 3rd of May culminating in the National Commemoration itself on Sunday May 12th, which will be presided over by  the President of Ireland, Michael Higgins.
Has anyone any links with people from Clare and especially West Clare who left during the 1840's to 1850's, around  the time of the Great Famine?
If you have personal stories that were passed down, or stories that you have put together yourself as you  piece together your own family history, please let me know and they can be passed onto the Commemoration committee.
There will be exhibitions on display during this time for visitors and these stories may be displayed as part of it.
Below are some links  that record some of the events in the Kilrush area, I have sent them before but will resend.
