CLARE ROOTS SOCIETY CHATTER

Courtesy of Clara Hoyne and Eric Shaw... from Clare Roots Society

From Eric...

The Clonmel Courthouse is quite similar to the one that stood in Ennis near
where the O'Connell Monument is at the top of O Connell street in Ennis
today. The windows on the upper floor differ but other aspects are very
close to the image in the fine painting of the Ennis .

From Clara..

I happened to be in the shop beside the square in
Ennis yesterday and as had seen Eric's photos before I went out I was trying
to visualize where the building stood. It is now more square shaped and on
picture the space in front was more angular.
