Civil Registration Service plays an important role in the lives of Irish people; it is responsible for helping people to register their children's births, along with marriages, civil partnerships and deaths.

Claire Bradley is a Dublin-based professional genealogist.
She holds a Certificate in Family History from UCD and is the current chairperson of the Irish branch of the Irish Genealogical Research Society.
