UPCOMING KILRUSH AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY LECTURES
This lecture will discuss the impact of WWI on a small local community. It is based on the speaker's M.A. thesis for the University of Limerick.

Morgan Roughan M.A. has written extensively on the topic of WWI, and has recently taken on the tough task of electronically mapping Clare's war dead. He is co-administrator of the Kilrush Co Clare, First World War Memorial facebook page, where he marks the centenaries of the deaths of all the Kilrush victims of the war.

Clare historian, Dr Joe Power presents a fascinating account of sport and social life in Clare.
Joe Power is from Clarecastle and works as a history and geography teacher in Kilrush Community School. Joe has published extensively on the history of Clare, including the monumental A History of Clarecastle and its Environs (2004) and more recently Clare and the Great War (2015).
