"'Who Do You Think You Are?' for Beginners"
Fiona de Buitleir was a total novice in the field of genealogy when she was persuaded to become the first secretary of the Clare Roots Society on its foundation six years ago. Following a huge learning curve in genealogical research, she has since traced her own family back five generations and discovered living cousins overseas, previously unknown. She has also been involved in many transcription projects for Clare Roots Society during that time and presented talks on creating your family tree during Heritage Week.
During this month's Clare Roots Society's presentation entitled '"Who Do You Think You are' for Beginners", Fiona will use the story of one family tree to demonstrate the various online and other resources available to help you get started on your family tree.
Fiona's presentation will be held in the Civic Rooms in Ennis at 8 pm on Thursday, 18 October 2012.
