FAMINE COMMEMORATION EVENT KILRUSH MAY 2013
From Clare People, further information on the Famine Commemoration Event...
Oh indeed Chris... and my Clare born GGGrandmother, Susan Kelleher, was a child during these horrific times and is the reason for her, and her sister Bridget, immigrating to South Australia. I can hardly imagine the horrors she witnessed... but do know it had a profound effect.

DeleteHard times for so many, Catherine... yet, in many ways, those who survived, had an indomitable strength which I feel has often been handed down.
